Prototype Notes
The final Siphon G design, numbering 27 vehicles was built by British Railways between1950 and 1955. They differed from previous body styles by the addition of 8 Louvre vents along the base of the body. These vents could be open or closed with sliding pressed steel shutters. The last of the BR built Siphon G's was withdrawn in Jan 1982.
