Description

Kato will make in N Scale a standard coach EW 1, which is widely in service by the Rhaetishe Bahn, a popular Swiss railroad company for "Alpine Glacier Express". This coach is characterised with the simple but well-balanced design, with the wider windows in the doors located near both ends, as well as the brilliant red body colour. The real train is operated not only as a local train consisting of the standard EW 1 coaches alone, but also as a train combined with "Glacier Express" or "Bernina Express" coaches. Either Ge4/4 III locomotives or Abe8/12 can be used to pull the train.

Features:

18.5cm prototype long coach for mainlines, Narrow Gauge scaled in 1/150.
The paint scheme of model is 1980s, a red body with horizontal thin silver line. The coach with thick line employed after 2004 will be also made.
1st Class coaches inside will be made brown (1+2 cars) and 2nd class cars violet inside (2+2 cars) to differentiate them.
This model can negotiate curve track R150 in Unitrack compact set.
All the coaches are equipped with short couplers for GEX, operative interior lighting set.
